You do NOT want to see this . . .

I’m healing – slowly . . . .

I actually went to work today and stayed for almost 4 hours before the edges of my incisions lit on fire and I had to get home and lie down to take the pressure off them.  Even though the big incision is on my back most of the pain is in the front.  On my skin.  The skin on my back is basically numb, like there are dead areas.  I keep over doing things and having to back off again but all in all I guess I’m getting better.  I can drive and I can get myself to meetings so I’m pretty sure things will be OK.

  1. Yep, you were right, I didn’t want to see that. Ouch!!! I’m glad you’re healing Chris….

  2. Oh yeah, I forgot to justify this particular video selection. This is the procedure I had. At least this is how they got IN. What they did once they were inside was different. HA!

    Thanks, CJ

  3. Ouch!
The body needs ! rest, good food (interspersed with some gentle ! exercise) to heal in its own time. raw vegtables gives you energy. fresh carrot juice and ginger helps. lots of vitamin C. A decent multivitamin. Essential oils in products such as: Udo’s Choice Oil Blend http://udoerasmus.com/products/oil_blend_en.htm “essential fats (a.ka. essential fatty acids or EFAs) get their name because the body must have them to survive, but cannot synthesize them from any other substance we eat,”
And of course lots of water. Ideally 3 liters a day.
Glad to hear you are feeling strong enough to venture back to work, but listen to your body and give it the time it needs to get the job done before you put physical pressure on it as well.
All will be well in due course. Rome wasn’t built in a day, so just be patient, and keep on keepin on till the body tells you it is ready to do something different. Sounds like you are on the final stretch!

I wimped out of watching the video :) Medical procedures are not my cup of tea!

Get well soon Chris! Sounds like you are well on the way :)

  4. i’m trusting your wisdom and not watching the video – seeing your scar made my toes curl for your pain enough.

glad you’re healing and driving – hoping that you find that place to stop before the pain becomes unbearable and it takes longer to recoup – dang, we addicts are such people of extremes, eh?

  5. I watched it, and I’m ok with it. I can watch most of that kind of stuff on video, but put someone I love in that place, and ooooh, that’s a different story.

I’m really glad to hear you’re improving. Keep up the healthy stuff, Chris. Congratulations!
